Truth: Burglaries can happen any time, any place and in any neighbourhood. Did you know that over half of all burglaries happen during daylight hours?

 

Myth: My neighbours are home all day and will see or hear the thieves.

Truth: No neighbourhood watch group is able to monitor your home 24 hours a day. In most cases they are ill-equipped to respond, which put’s them in harm’s way.

Myth: If burglars really want to get into my home, they will.

Truth: In most cases a burglar is looking to get in and get out in as little time as possible. Obstacles even small ones like shrubs or lights can make your home less attractive to a burglar.

Myth: My home is not a target for Burglary

Truth: A home that is not secured effectively can always be a target for a burglar. In fact homes without some kind of security are about 3 times more likely to be broken into than homes with any security systems in place.
